There are plenty of great and reasonably priced accomodations near the Festival location.

For the purposes of hotel searches and/or directions to TCAF events, the address of the Festival is:

The Toronto Reference Library (TRL)
789 Yonge Street
Toronto, Ontario, Canada
M4W 2G8
Google Map

The closest major intersection is Yonge & Bloor.

The closest TTC station is BLOOR/YONGE STATION, on both the Bloor and Yonge subway lines. It is 5 minutes walk from this subway station.

The Toronto Comic Arts Festival does not have an 'official' hotel for the show. Basically, any pricing we could offer would be more expensive than deals that can be found online at sites like Expedia.ca or Hotels.com (just be sure you're looking in DOWNTOWN TORONTO and not THE GREATER TORONTO AREA/GTA).

Further, this year TCAF is at the intersection of both major subway lines in Toronto, meaning any of the downtown hotels situated on the subway line will be less than 15 minutes away from the festival.

GETTING AROUND IN THE CITY:

Are you flying from New York, Chicago, Halifax, Montreal, Quebec City, or Ottawa? Consider flying with Porter Airlines, a new commuter airline service with a terminal right in the city-centre. Visit flyporter.ca for more information.

Most flights into Toronto will go through Lester B. Pearson International Airport, Code YYZ.

Downtown Toronto and the main festival location are approximately 20 minutes drive from the airport in light traffic, or up to 45 minutes during rush-hour. A cab ride from the airport will usually run $50-$60, and can be negotiated ahead of time.

Transit in the city of Toronto is called The TTC, and is comprised of buses, streetcars, and subways. A one-way fare is $2.75. You can find information on the TTC at http://www.toronto.ca/ttc/, and information on TTC service to-and-from the airport at http://www.toronto.ca/ttc/service_to_airport.htm. The TTC is really easy to use, and we recommend it for folks coming in from out of town.
